The Department of Theatre will present the world premiere of Georgina Escobar's MIGRANT X, exploring the issue of immigration policy globally, nationally, and locally through the lived migrant experience. Taking place outside in the Arts Quad, the show takes audiences through a migrant’s journey – both physically and emotionally. Directed by Associate Professor CarlosAlexis Cruz.

Important Performance Information:

  • Please arrive for the performance at the Rowe Arts building- this will be where the box office is located for this performance and also where the performance will begin. 
  • Masks are required.
  • The show is in the promenade style, which means that audience members will be walking to several different places during the 80-minute outdoor production, guided by the cast and crew. Audience members should wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking on sidewalks and in the grass.
  • There is no seating for this production. Audience members may stand or they may bring their own blankets and/or portable chairs as long as they are able to carry them from scene locale to scene locale.
  • If the show is canceled due to inclement weather, the rain-date will be Thursday October 7.

Ticket Policies and Procedures

1. All ticket sales are final. No exchanges and/or refunds. Exceptions can be made due to illness. 

2. Photographic, video or audio recording is strictly prohibited. 

3. Late seating is at the discretion of house management and is not guaranteed. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to performance time. 

4. If you need to leave the theater during a performance, please understand that it may not be possible to immediately return to your seat.


We are thrilled to welcome you back to our performing arts spaces here at the College of Arts + Architecture for the Fall of 2021. Here at UNC Charlotte, we want you to feel safe and comfortable returning to campus to watch our talented students and guests perform.
